Janna and Dean are the co-founders of Levitt Goodman Architects. After 10 years with the company Brock joined Janna and Dean in partnership in 2005. All are members of the Ontario Association of Architects and their work has been published both nationally and internationally. The three principles lecture, teach and sit on national juries regularly.

Dean Goodman, B.Arch., OAA, MRAIC

Dean obtained his architectural degree from the University of Toronto in 1983. Before his professional education, he was a general contractor and had a partnership in a consortium management and development company. This experience is an invaluable asset to the firm, providing an insight into the industry practices of construction and costing.

His 20 years of architectural experience are reflected in the wide range of architectural projects he has been involved in. Regardless of the size of the project, Dean assumes an active and visible role.

Janna Levitt, B.A., B.Arch., OAA

Janna Levitt has degrees in General Arts and Architecture. Her creative use of colour and form combine with her excellent management skills to bring both elegance and accountability to every design. Janna is known for using materials in innovative ways, which allows her to provide clients with unique projects that are cost efficient. She maintains contact with a wide range of local artisans who serve as a resource base on many of the firm's projects. Janna plays an active role on all work produced by the firm, ensuring continuity with respect to budget, design and schedule.

She is currently an adjunct professor at the University of Waterloo School of Architecture and is a former member of the City of Toronto Public Art Commission.

Brock James, BES, B.Arch., OAA

Brock believes that good design evolves from a deep understanding of the client's needs and ambitions. As a team leader, his approach is hands on and characterized by expert handling of a project from concept through to construction. He works closely with the client to ensure project success from all perspectives . architecturally as well as in terms of budget, schedule. This holistic approach produces finished environments that are effective and inspirational for the end users who live and/or work in them.

Brock obtained a co-operative education from the University of Waterloo, graduating from the School of Architecture in 1991. Prior to joining Levitt Goodman Architects in 1996, Brock ran a boutique industrial/architectural design company.
